Time is money, and that’s especially true at theme parks where guests can pay to skirt long lines for attractions.

I hate paying extra for anything, but Genie+ was well worth it to me when I tested it out at Walt Disney World last spring. The reservation-based system saved me more than 6 hours of time in line for a then flat $15.

With the dynamic pricing introduced last fall, Genie+ can now sometimes cost twice as much. When I visited Disney World last month, the price was $29.

Is it still worth it? Here’s what travelers planning Disney trips should know.
