The Olympic champion of Great Britain, Koley Hodgkinson, will return from an injury to the race in the 800m female at the London Athletics Meeting of this summer on Saturday, July 19.
The 23 years were forced to withdraw from February Klasic in Birmingham due to an injury to the hamstrings.
In last year’s event at the London Stadium, Hodgkinson established a meeting record, national record and the best personal staff of 1: 54.61, which led her to the sixth world ranking of all time.
He would pave the way to win at the Paris Games and join his Olympic silver from Tokyo, where Hodgkinson will aim to claim the title of the World Championship at the end of this year.
“I remember that after last year’s career thinking,” can we do that again? “,” Said Hodgkinson, who was crowned sports personality of the BBC of the year in 2024.
“It was a dream to compete in the Olympic stadium and I am very excited to return and see what I can do.
“For me, those races really prepared me for what I did in Paris. Now I am an Olympic champion, which is quite surprising to say out loud, but I still have the port won of world gold, so I have really big goals this summer.
“Having that crowd behind me in London, in addition to a group of super fast ladies against which to compete, will be the best possible preparation while building towards the world championships in Tokyo.”
The London Athletics Meet is the eleventh meeting of the Wanda Diamond League 2025.
