Jakob Ingebrigtsen: Double Olympic champion gives evidence against his father in Norwegian court

Duration on Tuesday Jakob, who won 1500m of gold in Tokyo 2020 and 5,000m of gold in Paris 2024, detailed a series of incidents of alleged abuse.

He said that, as a school he could not go to parties and how, when he was a teenager, he was trained two or three times a day.

Jakob also described several incidents when he said his father had assaulted his legs.

He alleges that Gjart hit Jakob several times after receiving a negative report on his school behavior when he was eight years old.

Hi, he also said that in 2008, when Jakob was about eight years old, his father hit him in the face because he was late for a race. He described another incident a year later, when he says that the father kicked in his stomach after he fell from a scooter.

He described another alleged incident in 2016 in a Junior championship when his father threatened him and another episode at the same time when it was said that Gjart threw his game console through the window.

It is expected that Gjart will give the Court next week. Speaking after Tuesday’s hearing, his lawyer, John Christian Elden, told NRK that Gjart had a “different perception of reality.”
