U.S. Representatives Introduce Bill to Modernize Sunscreen Ingredient Approval

 A bipartisan group of US legislators has introduced the Safe Sunpreen standards law to reform how the Food and Medicines Administration (FDA) evaluates and approves the ingredients of sunscreen for free sale.

 The proposed legislation backed by representatives Dave Joyce, John Joyce, Debbie Dingell and Deborah Ross-Aims to modernize the process of reviewing solar ingredients of the FDA by allowing the use of heavens and does not trade of Real Wordld. It also admits the use of non -animals test methods and asks the FDA to update its administrative order on pending sunrise ingredients. In addition, the bill requires that the Department of Health and Human Services publish annual reports on the progress of FDA and the adoption of alternative evidence. The legislation responds to long -standing criticism that the FDA has not approved a new sun protection filter since the 1990s, leaving US consumers without access to avoidable UV filters in other countries

 Skin cancer remains the most diagnosed cancer form in the US. The bill aims to address these gaps and update the frame to evaluate the ingredients of sun care in line with current scientific and ethical standards.
