Liliya Kalkamanova , After spending her time in Singapore, Beijing, Milan and Hong Kong, I am now based in New York City represented by EMG models. I am also proud to have been recently signed to Wilhelmina Models in Los Angeles as well!
In my modeling career, my biggest achievements have been my work with some of the best fashion houses in the world like Chanel, Oscar de la Renta, Emilio Pucci, and Brunello Cuccinelli. I am also always proud to be featured in magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Elle, and VanityTeen.
Liliya kalakamanova’s goals are to continue living spiritual and happy life while focusing on her career and continuing to build her portfolio of work. In the longer term, she hopes to build her own jewelry brand, broaden her spiritual work with others and build a family.
Family is the most important thing to me and I am very lucky to have a support system around me that helps me continue to pursue my goals.
The most important thing that I have learned in my life and career is something that my boyfriend always tells me…“you have to be comfortable being uncomfortable.” Especially when you are younger, you always have to believe in yourself and your dreams because your mind is the only boundary that can limit what you can achieve. Nevertheless, dreaming big often comes with equally large frustrations, setbacks, and heartbreaks that stand in your way so it’s how your respond to these moments of helplessness and frustration that determine whether this dream can become a reality. I think it’s a romantic idea that I grew up in a small town in Siberia with a population of fifty thousand and I am now a model signed to Wilhelmina and I am proud of this achievement; but when I am retired from modeling and look back on my career, I will be most proud of the person who I became along this journey.
