The Government of the Union has appointed four new members for the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
An official order issued on Thursday said that the Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC) headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the names of four officers of the 1989 Indigenous Income Service (IRS) of the 1989 of the Tax Table in the INBome, the Rajas Rajasann Rao.
Mishra, former director of FIU, has been working as a member (finance) in the Atomic Energy Commission, while Bahadur as the main general director (training) of the IT department in Delhi.
Reddy is working as the main chief commissioner (TDS) in Chennai and Rao as the main chief commissioner in Bengaluru.
The CBDT is the decision -making body for the Income Tax Department and the Direct Tax Administration of the country.
The CBDT, under the Department of Income at the Ministry of Finance of the Union, is led by a president and can have six members who are in the range of special secretary.
The CBDT is currently led by President Ravi Agrawal (1988 Lot IRS), while the two members in service are Pabodh Seth and Rameh Narain Parbat of the 1989 lot.
