The failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has retired her support behind Kilmar Abrego García, the defendant member of the MS-13 gang and alleged domestic abuse that was deported to El Salvador by the Trump administration.
“Before the elections, I noticed that there is no safe port under authoritarianism,” the former Secretary of State wrote on a publication on Wednesday X:
“If you can send Kilmar Abrego García to a foreign prison, accused of any crime, without trial, they can do it to anyone,” Clinton continued. “Americans of conscience must rely on this now.”
Abrego García, 29, illegally entered the United States when he was 16 and has resided in Maryland with his wife, an American citizen, who is physically surprised to abuse her in 2021:
According to the judicial documents shared online by the Department of National Security (DHS), Jennifer Vásquez Sura sought a protection order after her husband supposedly hit her and torn her and started her clothes.
Vásquez Sura, an American citizen who has a son with Abrego García and two of a previous relationship, responded to the publication of his accusations in a statement to Newsweek.
“After surviving domestic violence in a previous relationship, I acted as a precaution after a disagreement with Kilmar when looking for a civil protection order, in case things intensify,” he said. “Things did not intensify, and I decided not to follow the civil court. We seem able to overcome the situation in private as a family, even going to advice.”
“Our marriage only strengthened in the years that followed. No one is perfect, and no marriage is perfect,” Vásquez Sura continued. “But that is not a justification for ICE’s action to kidnap and deport it to a country where it was supposed to be protected from extraction. Kilmar has always led a couple and loving father, and continuously I will keep him and demand justice for him.”
In addition to being an alleged abuser, DHS reported that Abrego García was arrested with “cash and drug rolls” along with “two other members of MS-13”:
“Two judges discovered that he was a member of MS-13. That finding has not disturbed the leg, SHelp DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “When they arrested him, he carried what is effective the MS-13 uniform.”
