The Government says in ‘Maximum Alert’ due to the offer of rivals to kill the re -elected president.

Ecuador has declared a state of “maximum alert” about a murder plot against President Daniel Novoa.

In a statement entitled “The revenge of the bad losers” issued early on Saturday, the Ministry of Government said that “all security protocols have been activated” due to the threat that emanates from “criminal organizations, in collusion with surveys.”

Neloa was re -elected earlier this month, promising to continue an offensive against the violence of unbridled posters that affects Ecuador. His opponent, Luisa González, has continued to insist that the vote was fraudulent.

The statement follows the filtration at the beginning of this week of a military intelligence report that says that the murderers entering Ecuador from Mexico and other countries planned to carry out “terrorist attacks” against Neboa.

The Government Declaration alleges that the “bad losers” of the recent elections of April 13 hired hitmen (hitmen) of Mexico and other countries in an attempt to destabilize the government.

“The State is on a maximum alert. All security protocols have activated the bone, and the Armed Forces, the National Police and the intelligence agencies are working together,” reads.

Citing intelligence sources, reports “the plot of a murder, terrorist attacks and street disturbances through violent manifestations.”

The plot addresses “the life of the President of the Republic, the state authorities and public officials,” he said.

Allle that does not offer names, the statement seems to accuse the movement of Citizen Revolution (RC5) or that González is a leader and that is linked to former President Rafael Correa, or plan the attack.

The media reports in Ecuador also suggested that support can cover foreign leaders, including President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico.

In the midst of a diplomatic consequence that was launched last year, Sheinbaum announced Wednesday that Mexico would not restore diplomatic relations with Ecuador while Novoa remains in office.

The Mexican leader had publicly supported González in the elections.

The reported murder plot occurs in the midst of an intensive violence pattern in Ecuador, including the murder of presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio in 2023.

The unbridled violence of the criminal gangs involved in the trafficking of the largest cocaine producers in the world, residents of Peru and Colombia, has also ruined the country.

In the last case, at least 12 people died on Friday in an attack in the coastal province of Manabi when armed men dressed in fake military uniforms opened fire against the spectators in a rooster fight.

Neloa declared an “internal armed conflict” to combat drug gangs in January last year, reflecting the country’s continuous struggle with organized crime.

Together with a promise to boost the marked economy of the country, that was seen as a key to helping him win re -election earlier this month.

However, González, who had entered the vote of the second round after a narrow first round in February and claimed “grotesque” fraud, said Wednesday night that he plans to dispute the results with the electoral authority.
