The United States ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee withdrew a call from the World Health Organization to press Israel in Gaza Aid, asking instead of the international approach to Hamas to “sign a completion so that humanitarian aid may need the need.
In a Monday post on X, Huckabe shared a video message that responded to a request by Dr. Hanan Balkhy, who regional director of the Eastern Mediterranean, who had urged him to press Israel to increase humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
“What if we exert the pressure to which it really belongs – In Hamas, “Huckabee wrote in the publication.
“Last weekend, Dr. Hanan Balkhy … asked me to press more about Israel to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza people,” he says in the video. “I appreciate the message … And today what I would like to suggest is that we work together to put the pressure where it really belongs, in Hamas.”
Huckabee asked the terrorist group, who has controlled Gaza since 2007, to sign a Aalreement that would allow a safe and no help of help, while demanding the release of Israeli hostages kidnapped the duration.
“When that happens … we hope that humanitarian aid flows and flows freely, knows that it will be done with Hamas that can confiscate and abuse your own people,” he said.
The Ambassador’s statement occurs in the midst of the growing international pressure on Israel to allow greater access to Gaza. Israeli officials argue that Hamas deviates or takes humanitarian shipments for their own use, a concern that echoes legislators and the help groups of the United States in the field.
Recently Wall Street Journal investigation He confirmed that Hamas stole humanitarian aid for Civilians in Gaza and resolved it to finance their war efforts, undermining claims for international law and exposing the exploitation of help efforts by the terrorist group.
“It was outrageous that the Biden administration forced Hamas aid deliveries in the first place,” said Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton.
Last month, Eli Sharabi, a recently published as a hostage Israeli and survivor of Hamas’s captivity, pronounced a powerful testimony before the UN Security Council exposes the theft of foreign aid and abuse of Civilians from Hamas.
Huckabee’s comments reinforce the opinion that humanitarian suffering in Gaza is inseparable from Hamas’ continuous control, and that he presses Israel without demanding the responsibility of Hamas runs the risk of even more incorporating the terrorist group.
