In reaction to the terrorist attack, Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, promised not to avoid perpetrators of violence to tourists in Pahalgam.
Shah, together with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who was in Delhi, went to Srinagar at night to review the security situation in the UT with all interested parties, including intelligence agencies.
Hey also declared that he has informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is currently on an official tour in Saudi Arabia, about the terrorist attack.
“Angust for the terrorist attack against tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. My thoughts are with the family members of the deceased. Those involved in this act of terror will not be saved with a congress.

Review meeting
To take a stock of the situation, Shah convened a meeting in his residence here in which Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, the head of the Intelligence Office Taber Deka and the Secretary of the Interior of the Union, Govind Mohan, were among those present, government sources said.
The Chief of CRPF, Gyanendra Pratap Singh, the general director of J&K police, Nalin Pabhat, and the army officials who are part of the security network also joined the meeting through videoconferencing. Shah also talked to J&K’s prime minister, Omar Abdullah, added Fuentes.
This is his son’s first attack in tourists in Jammu and Kashmir. In June 2024, at least 8 pilgrims were killed and several other wounds after a bus in which they were traveling was attacked by terrorist in the Readi district of the Jammu Division. However, in the valley it is the first attack of this type in the last 8 years.
On July 10, 2017, 8 Pilgrims of Amarnath were killed, while another 19 suffered wounds in a terrorist attack in the Anantnag District of Cashmira Sur.
Attack time
The terrorist attack occurred in the first three months of 2025, the Valley received 5.25,272 tourists, providing a filling to the economy of the region.

“It is an extraordinary attack. Only in the apogee of militancy, there were only few incidents of this type in which terrorists attacked tourists,” said Ajai Sahni, executive director of the Institute for Conflict Management and South Asia, Intellalcewiew.
He said the terrorists now looked for softer goals.
“It is because the ability to take attacks against security forces has decreased,” he said.
CM condemn
Prime Minister Omar Abdullah Tok to X and published: “I am surprised beyond the believer. This attack against our visitors is an abomination. The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman and worthy of contempt. Speech with my colleague Sakina Itao and she moved to the hospital to supervise the arrangements for the injured.
Deploring the attack, Lieutenant Boodj Sinha, in a position in X, said that an anti -terror operation had thrown a leg to neutralize terrorists.
“The whole nation is angry and the blood of our forces is boiling. I want to ensure that the nation perpetrators of Pahalgam’s attack have to pay a very heavy price for their atrocious act. My most sincere condolences to the best families.”
