A Las Vegas veterinarian who was caught in the chamber kicking a horse on his face has been found dead in Lake Mead Week after he disappeared.

Shawn Freehner’s body, 56, a veterinarian who disappeared earlier this month, was recovered on Lake Mead’s Friday, near the Boulder Islands inside the deposit, according to a report by Las Vegas Review-Journal.

According to the reports, the National Parks Service, together with the Silvestre Department of Nevada and Volunteers of Red Rock Search and Rescue, registered the reservoir after finding the Freehner truck, as well as its wallet, keys and cell phone near the shore of the water.

The authorities did not provide a cause of death for the veterinarian, which was identified through dental records.

Freehner disappeared on April 6, shortly after an online video was published that shows a man who was supposed to kicked a horse on his face, and a few days after Pahump, Nevada, the resident, Shawna González, presented a criminal complaint in the veteran.

Initially, González had shared his horse’s video, called Big Red, being brutally kicking in the face of social networks.

After the video went viral online, before disappearing, Freehner tok to social networks to apologize for kicking the horse, but also defended its actions and said that the footage caused the incident to look worse than actually.

“I did not transport blastly and kicked this horse as it appears in the video,” according to the reports, Freehner wrote on a Facebook post. That was not my intention at all. It was done simply to put the horse in a better position so that he could breathe, get up and move so he could try to anesthetize again. “

“But yes, I kicked it directly on my chin and apologized a lot and I want this to never happen,” added the veterinarian.

But Freehner’s explanation did not suffocate the indignation among the users of social networks, who flooded the comments sections of the veterinarian’s personal account to criticize him.

“I just regret that it has been recorded on video. You are a monster,” wrote a Facebook user.

“I really hope you spend the rest of your life in jail and treat you in the same way you treat animals. You are a horrible human,” said another.

“You are a sick sob. You should revoke your license. I will share your video abusing animals until they do. You are shit without value,” said a third.

“You are an unpleasant individual and a misfortune for equine veterinarians, devils to the entire veterinary community,” said another Facebook user. “Karma comes to you and I hope you have every little one you deserve!”

“You are an unpleasant human,” echoed. “I hope everyone will drop you like their fat man, as a friend and as part of their community. I hope this ruins you.”

The Nye County Sheriff, Joe McGill, confirmed to the new local documents that the Sheriff’s office had received González’s complaint of animal abuse of a serious crime and was investigating the matter before Freehner disappeared.

“This is not what I wanted in the end,” said González Las Vegas Review-Journal Or Freehner’s death. “I had no idea that this would happen, but I wasn’t the only intimidation.”

“I don’t regret defending my horse,” he said.
