Israel says that the ballistic missile has been intercepted without causing injuries.
The Hutis rebels of Yemen have launched a ballistic missile towards the north of Israel, according to the Israeli army, who claimed to have knocked down the projectile without causing any injury.
Shortly after 4 in the morning, local time (01:00 GMT) on Wednesday, the Israeli army said the missile triggered sirens of air attacks in Haifa, Krayot and other areas west of the Sea of Galilee.
This area is a strange objective for the huti rebels backed by Iran, which are continuously subject to an intense air strike campaign in the United States.
Since the war broke out in Gaza in October 2023, the hutis have repeatedly fired missiles and drones to Israel in what they say is a sample of solidarity with the Palestinians.
The rebel group controls Yemen’s stripes, and Israel has hit Houthi’s objectives several times within the country, even in the capital, Sanaa.
The hutis did not immediately claim the attack, they thought it can take hours or even days to recognize their assaults.
US attacks.
Meanwhile, American air attacks, part of an almost daily campaign that began on March 15, continued attacking the Hutis on Wednesday morning. The Hutíes reported strikes in the Hodeidah, Marib and Saada governorates.
In Marib, the Houthis described a telecommunications team with strike blow, which had previously an American target.
The hutis, in response, have intensified their objective of the American drones that fly over the country. Houthi’s military spokesman, Brigade General, Yahya Sare, said late on Tuesday that the rebels had knocked down an MQ-9 Reaper drone about the Northwest Government of Yemen Hajjah.
MQ-9 Reaper drones, which cost around $ 30 million each, can fly at altitudes of more than 40,000 feet (12,100 meters) and remain in the air for more than 30 hours.
The US Army. And the CIA have flown them over Afghanistan, Iraq and now Yemen.
The hutis claim to have demolished 26 MQ-9 during the last decade of the Yemen War.
The United States Army recognized the report that the drone was shot down, but said he could not make comments.
The United States Army says that it is aimed at the “terrorists” of the Hutíes to stop attacks against international shipping in the Red Sea, a crucial global commercial route and Israel.
