The gains of the day were greatly fed by IT stocks, with facilitations of global macroconomic cons

The actions of HCl Technologies Ltd., Tech Mahindra Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., Infosys Ltd. and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. were among the main winners on Wednesday.

On the other hand, HDFC Bank Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., State Bank of India, Axis Bank Ltd. and ITC Ltd. appeared among the main lags.

The BSE Sensex extended its winning streak during a seventh consecutive session, increasing 0.65 percent or 520.90 points to close at 80,116.49. The NSE Nifty also rose 0.67 percent or 161,70 points, ending the day at 24,328.95.

Upper gaatores

HCl Technologies led the demonstration, flying 7.72 percent to ₹ 1,594.30, driven by robust earnings from the fourth quarter and a strong orientation for the fiscal year 2016. Tech Mahindra increased 4.63 percent to ₹ 1,439.30, driven by optimism in the IT services segment.

Tata Motors won 4.59 percent to end ₹ 659.90, while Infosys advanced 3.69 percent to ₹ 1,474.85. Mahindra and Mahindra completed the first five, increasing 3.56 percent to ₹ 2,917.40.

The main losers

HDFC Bank was the largest lagging, which fell 1.98 percent to ₹ 1.923.10. Kotak Mahindra Bank continued, decreasing 1.80 percent to ₹ 2226.70.

State Bank of India fell 1.11 percent to ₹ 813.30, while Axis Bank lost 0.87 percent to ₹ 1,206.50. ITC fell 0.68 percent to ₹ 430.75.

The gains of the day were greatly fed by IT stocks, facilitating global macroconomic conerns and a rebound in technological spending that reinforces investors’ confidence.
