India has announced a series of measures to degrade their ties with Pakistan, one day after armed men killed 26 people in the tourist city or Pahalgam in the disputed cashmere region.

India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Miskri, said a media conference on Wednesday that the cross -border links of Kashmir administered by India had been “taken” at a special meeting of the security cabinet, after which it was to act to Agast Pakstan.

He said that the main border crossing between the two countries would be closed with immediate effect and that New Delhi would suspend a water treaty that allows sharing the waters of the Indo River system between the two countries.

He said that Pakistani citizens would be forbidden to travel to India under the Visa Exemption Program of the Association of Asia in Southern Asia (SAARC), and that the Pakistani who use the visas have 48 hours to leave the country.

Defense advisors at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi were declared a non -pleasant person and were asked to leave, Miskri said, adding that the general force of the Indian high commission in Islamabad will be reduced to 30 of 55.

The Pakistani prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee at Thorsday Morning to respond to the Declaration of the Indian Government, Pakistan Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, published in X.

A Little-Known Group, The Resistance Front (TRF) Claimed Responsibility for the Attack in a Social Media Message, in Which it expressed Discertnt That More than than 85,000 “Outsiders” Had Been Settled in The Region, Spurring What It It it it it it it is it it it it it it it it it it is it it it it it it it it it it ities street calledPhafafafafafafailsaphaphaphaphic

The dead included 25 Indians and a Nepalese citizen, police said, and at least 17 other people were injured.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said he was “concerned about the loss of tourists’ life” in Cashmiro administered by India. “We extend our condolences to the acquaintances of the deceased and wish the injection a rapid recovery,” said the ministry spokesman in a statement.

The Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi, interrupted his two -day visit to Saudi Arabia and returned to the early capital on Wednesday. He denounced the attack as an “atrocious act” and promised that the attackers “will be taken before justice.”

“His evil agenda will never succeed. Our determination to combat terrorism is unwavering and will be strengthened,” he said in an X publication.

India’s Minister of Defense, Rajnath Singh, said: “Those responsible and behind such an act will hear our response, strong and clear.”

“We gained those people who carried out the attack. We will also communicate with those who planned this from behind the scene in our land,” said Singh in a speech in the capital, New Delhi.

Tourists flee

Kashmira has seen a series of mortal attacks, even against the migrant workers of the Indian states, since New Delhi ended the semi -autonomous status of the region in 2019 and dissents, civil freedoms and freedom of media.

Tuesday’s attack was a setback for the Modi government, which has repeatedly made claims of “normality” in Kashmiro since the semi -automated state of the region was revoked. New Delhi has vigorously pushed tourism and the region has attracted millions of visitors to their sprouts of the Himalayas and exquisite decorated fleet houses.

Ajai Sahni, executive director of the terrorism portal of southern Asia, a platform that tracks and analyzes armed attacks in southern Asia, said that “zero militancy in Kashmir is an impossible goal to perform, at least the state.”

“Normality narration creates a situation in which groups is encouraged to design attacks,” Sahni said. “There is no normality in Kashmir.”

After the attack, panic tourists began to leave Kashmir. Monojit Debnath, from Kolkata’s Indian city, said that Kashmir was undoubtedly beautiful, but his family was no longer sure.

“We are tourists, and we must think about the security we have here for us,” Debnath told the press agency Press Trust of India when he left Srinagar, the main city of the region, with his family.

TRF said that “attacked individuals were not common tourists.” “[Instead]They were linked and affiliated with Indian security agencies, ”he said in a separate statement, adding that he would increase his activities in the region.

The government of India has not commented on the claim.

The attacks of armed groups have afflicted Kashmir, claimed in their entirety, but partially ruled both India and Pakistan, since an anti -union rebellion began in 1989. Tens of thousands of people have killed, Altheghe has reduced to the receptive.
