An illegal foreigner previously protected by the State Sanctuary policy of California, has been sentenced to life imprisonment after killing Maris Maren Digovanni, 30 and Brent Allan Hallett, 47, in 2022.

Two months after the stabbing, Barrios was found mentally not suitable to be tried and spent two years in treatment. Hello, he declared himself guilty of the attempt of murder and murder against him.

The widow of Hallett, Carmelita Hallett, told a Canadian media in 2022 that she and her husband had visited Las Vegas several times and were madly in love.
“We were together for so long that half of my brain is Brent and the other half is Carmelite. I can’t separate, we are the same,” Carmelita said. “We were together for most or our lives.”
Meanwhile, Digiovanni leaves her husband, Cole Jordan, her parents, brothers, grandparents and cousins of several boxes.

Maris always saw the best of people, always gave them a chance and always accepted people for whom they were. Her great love capacity led her to have ships of durable friends around the world. She was a beautiful spirit and soul, and we will miss her for the rest of our lives.

Barrios had a criminal record in the Sanctuary of California, which apparently protected him from the trial and deportation by the Customs Immigration and Control Agency (ICE).
Specifically, the former district prosecutor of Los Angeles, Jackie Lacey (D), could not process Barrios for a domestic violence position in 2019, which could have enclosed him up to four years in prison.
Three years before, in 2016, Barrios was prosecuted in Riverside County, California, for driving and driving dangerous without license, but was never delivered to ice agents to judge and deportation.
