Varanasi travel agents say sudden cancellations have delayed their industry in almost 15 rupees of millions of rupees. Many fear, the incident will expel Kashmir from the tourist map at the moment and a great effort will be required to recover the losses suffered.

The interested parties in the tourism industry say that the posterior parties to the coefficient, Jammu and Kashmiro had positioned themselves as a favorite among national and foreign tourists. It represents 7-8 percent of the GDP of the territory of the Union and provides direct and indirect employment to Lakhs of people.
