The Government of the Union is likely to convene a meeting for all parties on April 24 after a deadly terrorist attack in the pahalgama of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the sources, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will preside over the meeting.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided on Wednesday a meeting of the Cabinet Security Committee (CCS), which lasted more than two hours. PM Modi interrupted his two -day visit to Saudi Arabia following the morning of Pahalgam’s terror.
“Following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, he presided over a CCS meeting at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg,” Prime Minister Modi said in an X publication.
The High Level Meeting was attended by the Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the Minister of External Affairs, Jaishankar, and the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other key officials. The attack, carried out by terrorists in Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam on Tuesday, is one of the most mortal in the Valley from the 2019 pulwama strike in which 40 Jawans CRPF were killed.
Early in the day, Rajnath Singh expressed a deep sadness for the loss of innocent lives in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam and promised the government’s determination to punish the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
He said those Invlved will soon see a strong and clear response.
Jammu and Kashmir’s prime minister, Omar Abdullah, has also requested a meeting of all parties on April 24 after Pahalgam’s terrorist attack in the Valley.
According to the invitation letter published by CM Abdullah, the meeting will be held at 3 pm at the Sher–Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in Srinagar.
The Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, visited the Faculty of Government Medicine (GMC) on Wednesday in Anantnag to meet with the injured victims of Pahalgam’s terrorist attack, which charged several lives and left other injured.
Today early, Shah visited Baisaran Meadow’s affected area, where the attack took place. The minister of the Union first brought an air stock in the region when he reached the site by helicopter, descending to the meadow now with the scars of violence.
