Beijing warned nations that do not make commercial agreements with Washington that harm China, highlighting how economies worldwide run the risk of getting trapped in tensions between the two powers.

While respecting the nations that resolve their commercial disputes with the United States, Beijing “is resolutely opposed to any part that reaches an agreement at the expense of China’s interests,” said the Ministry of Commerce in a statement on Monday. If that happens, Beijing “will never accept it and take reciprocal countermeasures,” he added.

“China is willing to strengthen solidarity and coordination with all parties, respond and jointly resist acts of bullying,” said the ministry.

The nations boxes seek reductions or exemptions of the historical import taxes of President Donald Trump. In return, the United States wants to take measures that limit China’s manufacturing, make sure Beijing find no ways around rates.

Trump’s main economic advisors have been arguing to ask representatives of other nations that impose the so-called secondary tariffs-overall a sanctioned monetary import of certain countries with nearby links in China, Bloomberg News previously reported. Washington also wants commercial partners to refrain from absorbing excess goods from China, other people said.

Vietnam is preparing to take energetic measures against Chinese products flowing through its borders along the way to the United States, Reuters said previously.

China has intensified its scope towards Southeast Asia and Europe when Trump directs his attention to the world number 2. President Xi Jinping toured Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia last week to gather an “Asian family” that can better deal with the risks that result from Trump’s tariffs.
