The CIPLA Foundation, together with Cansupport, has expanded free palliative household care services in Pune.

With nine dedicated home care teams, the initiative will provide support care for more than 900 cancer patients, which makes it the largest palliative care service in the home in Maharashtra, said Catla. The initiative will cover five Talukas in the district of Pune: Pune City, Haweli, Khed, Bhor and Purandar.

Cansupport has been providing palliative care in the free home to cancer patients for more than 28 years, according to the note. Services will support patients with advanced cancer, complex symptoms and/or mobility problems, and patients were deactivated from the Paliative Care and Training Center in Pune, seeking continuous care at home, they added.

“While most patients are oncology, approximately 10 percent have non -oncological conditions such as respiratory or neurological diseases. Built in the interdisciplinary model of Cansupport, services provide medical, emotional and psychosocial attention at no cost,” said the note, adding that services included injured care, physiotherapy, advice and assistant equipment as wheel Water, and walks.

The CIPLA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of CIPLA and works with non -governmental organizations (NGOs) and government agencies.
