Coal India ARM SECL on Friday said it has entered a pact of ₹ 7.040-CROR with TMC mineral resources to undertake a large-scale coal production using anterior filling technology.

Filling is a modern underground mining method that eliminates the need to acquire superficial land. After the extraction of coal, the empty extracted are filled with a special paste of paste prepared with flying ashes, they are crushed overload of opencast, cement, water and chemical mines overload. This process prevents the sinking of the Earth and guarantees the structural stability of the mine.

“South Eastern Coalfields LTD (SECL) will become the first coal PSU in India to adopt past filling technology for coal mining … To implement this innovative underground mining technology, SECL has signed a PVDgemement of RS 7.040 said in a statement.

According to this agreement, large -scale coal production will be carried out using anterior filling technology in the Singhali underground coal mine located in the SECL Korba area.

Approximately a period of 25 years, the project is expected to produce approximately 8.4 million tons of coal.

The Singhali underground mine was approved in 1989 for a production capacity of 0.24 million tons per year and praised operations in 1993. Currently, the mine has 8.45 million tons or removable reserves of coal that is not coal. It was developed using the table and pillars method, using load transport refunds and universal drilling machines for underground operations.

However, the surface on the mine is densely occupied with villages, high voltage electricity lines and a public works department, the highway ring The traditional speleology methods is not in accordance with safety and environmental conerns.

With the introduction of filling technology, mining activities in this area can now process without altering surface infrastructure.

It is expected that the successful implementation of this technology in Singhali allane the way to resume operations in other underground mines where there are similar land limitations.
