The General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued on Saturday a notice to airlines about providing proper communication and catering services in the fight to passengers, since international flights have a longer flight time due to the closure of Pakistan airspace.

Pakistan has closed its airspace for Indian airlines, which results in longer flight hours for their international flights, especially those that fly from the cities of northern India, including Delhi.

Aviation Watchdog DGCA has issued the warning on passenger management measures in view of airspace restrictions result in a prolonged flight duration and technical stops.

The notice focuses on five main communication areas of pre-volume passengers, catering and comfort in flight, medical preparation and alternative airfields, customer service and support preparation, and intradepartamental coordination.

DGCA said there is a significant wording of international and regional flights, blocking increases compared to the scheduled duration and the possibility of stopping route technicians for operational or fuel requirements.
