India and Pakistan troops exchanged fire in the Jammu and Kashmir region on Friday, according to New Delhi officials, as relations between neighbors with continuous nuclear weapons to fall after a deadly attack against tours this week.
Both parties used small weapons in the shooting, an Indian official told journalists, asking not to be identified due to the sensitivity of the situation. This is the first exchange of fire from the pandemic, and breaks a 2021 fold between the two nations to stop shooting along the control line that separates the Indian and Pakistany controlled areas of Kashmir. Pakistan’s army did not respond to a comment application.
