Rec state said Tuesday that Jitendra Srivastava assumed the position as president and managing director (CMD) of the electricity sector lender, with effect since April 22, 2025.
On April 18, 2025, the Cabinet Appointments Committee (ACC) appointed Srivastava, an IAS officer of the Bihar painting (Lot 2000), as CMD of Rec.
The appointment has been made in the range and payment of the additional secretary of the Government of India, under the Ministry of Power.
Srivastava is an experienced official with more than two decades of experience. Over the years, he has played several administrative and key leadership in the government of India and the Bihar government.
He has served as a Joint Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, since January 2023. Previously, he served as secretary of the Bihar government in the Department of Interior and the Department of Public Health Engineering (Phed).
Their publications have included important tasks in sectors such as finance, the electricity sector, education, public health and infrastructure. His comprehension DEP of base governance, combined with his experience at the central level, makes it well equipped to direct the strategic objectives of ReC and supports the growing energy and energy needs of India.
He has a degree (Hons) in Economics of Hansraj College, University of Delhi, and an MBA in Finance of the University of Science and Technology of Cochin.
