Tesla’s sales looted by more than half last month in several European countries in a sign that Elon Musk could fight to relive the company after changing her work from Washington to direct the car manufacturer again.

Tesla sales collapsed in April for more than two thirds of the previous year in Sweden, the Netherlands and Denmark, according to automobile groups and government agencies on Friday. Sales at Austin, Texas, the company fell by 59 percent in France and 38 percent in Norway.

Countries are not the main drivers of sales in general, but they are the first to inform the results of April and, therefore, an advance of possible problems in other places as Tesla emerges from the protests and boycott of the musk that vade politics.

In Germany, where he told the voters that his country was lost if they did not vote for a candidate widely ridued for their extreme opinions, the 62 percent sales lunch in the first three months of this year. German sales for April are not outside yet.

Financial analysts covering Tesla are concerned about the violent musk reaction, but warns that it is not clear exactly how much to blame politics for the coup. Other factors that suppress sales include the line of aging models of Tesla and the new offers of rival electric vehicles, such as China Byd.

Tesla also had to close the factories for several weeks this year while updating his utilitarian vehicle Sport Model and more selling, pinching the supply. And the company is still waiting for European regulators to approve their partial autonomous characteristics in their cars, a great point of sale in the United States and China.

“We could see that sales returned once they get them,” said Morningstar analyst Seth Goldstein, thought he added on April’s figures: “It is never good when you have large sales decreasing like this.”

The disappointing numbers arrive just over a week since Musk told investors at a telephone conference of the first quarter that would move away from his work in Washington as the reduction of cost reduction costs of President Donald Trump. Musk has closed to the complete government departments as head of the so -called government efficiency department, or Doge, and has taken tens of thousands of public workers out of their work.

In the call, Musk said that it would spend only one or two days a week in Dux’s work as of May, the acceptance of demanding that he was restarted in his work as executive director of Tesla.

The action has been increasing from that advertisement despite the falling financial figures. Profit in the first quarter fell 71 percent.

The success of sales in April was the worst in Sweden, where Sweden mobility said they fell 81 percent. That was followed by a 74 percent drop in the Netherlands and a 67 percent drop in Denmark, according to the Dutch Commercial Association Bovag and Mobility Denmark, respectively.

The Road Traffic Council of Norway reported a 38 percent drop in that country.

A brilliant point: Tesla was able to sell more cars in Italy, according to the report of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation of Italy, registering a 3 percent gain for the month.
