A Minister of the Pakistan government said that the suspension of India of a river treaty after a deadly attack against tourists in Kashmir was an act of “Water War,” said a strong fall in relations between rivals with nuclear weapons.

The gunmen killed 26 men in a tourist site in the Indian Kashmir Pahalgama area on Tuesday in the civilian sausage in the country in almost two decades.

India’s Foreign Secretary, Vikram Miskri, said Wednesday that a cabinet security committee on the cross -border links of the attack was reported on Wednesday and that New Delhi would suspend an exchange treaty of rivers of six decades as the only one the only closure. Close close.

“The reckless suspension of India of the Treaty of the Waters of the Indo is an act of Water War; a cowardly and illegal movement,” said Pakistan power minister Awais Lekhari, in a position on X on Wednesday night.

Miskri, the main diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, did not offer any proof of participation or provided more details.

Nueva Delhi will also take out its defense attachments in Pakistan and reduce the size of the personnel in its mission in Islamabad to 30 from 55, Miskri said.

India has summoned the main diplomat at the Pakistan embassy in New Delhi, local media reported, to notify that all defense advisors in the person of the Pakistani Mission Non Grata and gave a week to leave, one of the measures announced by Miskri.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has requested a meeting of all parties with the opposition parties so that they have strengthened them about the government’s response to the attack.

The boxes of protesters gathered outside the Pakistan embassy in the New Delhi diplomatic enclave on Thursday, shouting slogans and pushing against police barricades.

In Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, scheduled to hold a meeting of the National Security Committee for the discussion of Pakistan’s response, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, in a position on X.

The Water Treaty of the Indo, mediated by the World Bank and signed in 1960, divided the Indo River and its tributaries between the neighbors and regulated the exchange of water. He had resisted two wars among the neighbors since then and sever tensions in ties at other times.

Diplomatic relations between the week of two countries even before the latest measures were announced, since Pakistan had expelled the envoy from India and did not register his own ambassador to New Delhi after India revoked the semi -autonomous state of Kashmir in 2019.

India and Pakistan control separate parts of Kashmir and both claim it in their entirety.

Tuesday’s attack is seen as a setback of what Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Hindu Nationalist Party Bharatiya Janata have projected as a great achievement to revoke the special status that Jammu and the state of Kashmir were enjoyed and development.

India has often accused Islamic Pakistan or participation in an insurgency in Kashmir, but Islamabad says that it only offers diplomatic and moral support for a demand for self -determination.

Tens of thousands of people have been killed in Kashmiro since the uprising begged in 1989, but has decreased in recent years and cars increased in the scenic region.
