All the main political parties expressed on Thursday the support for government action against those responsible for Pahalgam’s terrorist attack. However, concerns were raised about how the floods upstream would be handled if the Indo water treaty remains in suspense.
Opposition leader in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi will visit Srinagar on Friday. It also has a plan to meet the families of the victims.

The meeting begged with a moment of silence observed to pay condolences to the victims who lost their lives. Then, the government sent the leaders of several political parties in the terrorist attack of the Pahalgama, which charged 26 lives and heard the opinions of the opposition.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Interior Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister, S Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sithaman, and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, represented the government at the meeting.
“All parties have expressed their solidarity and have also made an appeal that the whole country must unite united at this time of complaint,” Rijijuu told journalists after the meeting that lasted almost two hours. Hey also said that Pahalgam’s attack was carried out to vitiate the atmosphere when the economy was up and tourism was booming.
The leaders in all the lines of the party sought a decisive action to destroy terrorism fields. The deputy of the Trinamool Congress, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, said that the issue of possible security failures was also discussed, but the opposition assured that it was with the government in the fight against terrorism.
“The nation must be totally united in this struggle to eliminate terrorism,” he said. Leaving the meeting, the AAM AADMI (AAP) Rajya Sabha parties, deputy of Sanjay Singh, said that all parties demanded actions by the Government for the destruction of terrorist fields.

Aimim Asaduddin Owaisi reiterated that this incident should not be used as a crack between Hindus and Muslims. While appreciating the movements decided by the cabinet security committee, Hey wanted to know what would happen to the water once the flow was checked.
