When the digital musculoskeletal company Hinge Health launched approximately a decade ago, the employers directly addressed.
However, in recent years, he has expanded his associations of health plans and is now the preferred musculoskeletal partner for the five largest national health plans in the United States for self -asserted lives, after a new collaboration announced last week. It also works with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Anthem and Health Care Service Corporation, as well as narrower regional plans.
Cignna’s self -assured customers now have the option of sacrificing the hinge health platform to their employees. Through the platform, patients get virtual access to physiotherapists, health coaches, real -time orientation and a portable pain relief device. Hinge’s support can be combined with the solution of bones and joints Pathwell of Cigna, which helps employees with pain in the spine, hip, knee or shoulder, and offers access to suppliers and a defender of clinical care.
In addition, Cigna Healthcare clients will have a faster hiring, faster incorporation and simplified billing with the health of the hinge.
“We believe it is our work not only to reduce friction for our members, but also to reduce friction for the buyer, in this case, the employer … If you are a client of CIGNA, you can call your Cigna Accounts Executive and say:” We like it. “And without much additional hiring and privacy work and data safety and all that can activate and launch the health of the hinge through Cigna,” said Jim Pursley, president of Hinge Health, in a recent interview in Nashville’s business group in Nashville.
The company is usually paid through a commitment -based pricing model, in which Pursley added hinge invoices for each interaction.
Hinge Health has also extended to other business lines, including Medicare Advantage plans, the Federal Employee Program and Veterans Affairs. He is also trying to expand worldwide, according to Pursley.
“Most of our employers are headquarters here in the United States, but they have global work forces and are interested in trying to provide equitable benefits as far as possible worldwide,” he said.
The association with Cigna occurs after Health made waves when he requested an initial public offer (IPO) in March, the first digital health company to do so in a long time. Many in the industry are watching closely to see how the company is going in the public domain given the market volatility and the struggles of those who have IPO in the past, such as recognition and celadoc.
However, medical care experts told Medcity News that they are so optimistic about the opi considering that hinge has high margins and goes to a massive market. MSK is the second largest cost engine for employers behind cancer, according to the Business Health Group. It is worth noting that Hinge is not the only digital health company that addresses MSK, with others such as Sword Health and Vori Health.
Hinge Health declined to comment on the opi.
Looking towards the future, Hinge Health focuses on investing in his new offers, including his Women’s Pelvic Health Program and his menopause program, Pursley said. The company also recently announced associations with the Amazon company and Midi Health Menopause.
