The League promised to surprise on the first night of the NFL 2025 draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Meros minutes after Thursday’s festivities, he did not disappoint absolutely.
What began with each team that had its original selection in the first round changed quickly, since the Jacksonville Jaguars exchanged from No. 5 to No. 2 to obtain the corner/open receiver Travis Hunter, returning Heisman’s winner to his native state of Florida and questioning if he can really be the first head of the League of the League, good enough for both positions in both positions in Jackson.
The surprises were not stopped there either. The Chicago Bears turned Michigan Colston Loveland in the first wing closed outside the board on No. 10. The Green Bay Packers hosted surprised their own crowd when taking an open receiver in the first round. Atlanta Falcons doubled the runners, thought that perhaps the exaggeration of the needs should now be expected from Atlanta.
Ah, and the New York giants changed to the first round in pick No. 25 and selected ‘Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss.
The fall of Shoreeur Sanders continued while the cameras were reduced to a luxurious hero of the party at the house of Sanders in Texas. The Colorado Buffaloes QB was all smiles despite the slide, even when it finally fell from the first round.
So how far Sanders fall on day 2? Well, the Cleveland Browns, who changed the general position No. 2 with Jacksonville and the Defensive Tackle Mason Graham with the fifth selection, the first selection of Friday.
Without further ado, here is my drill of Round 2.

Cleveland is currently not a response to the field marshal, but taking one here is not a certainty since there are still other options (La Tos, Kirk Cousins, in case it renounces its clause without trade). The QB emptiness is also more interesting because the Browns have two very close selections at the top of the second round and did not use their flexibility. Why not change to the first round using one of these selections and a later selection to guarantee the future fifth round option if a field marshal will finally recruit? Sanders would also have to be he Guy in Cleveland, but if it has fallen so far, does the league trust that it can do it immediately?
For the purposes of this exercise, Cleveland no longer no longer is no longer Sanders in suspense, but I think his selection here is far from being a safe thing.
34. Houston Texans (of Giants): Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Johnson fell from the first round due to injury concerns, but he has a lot of talent and Houston needs help in high school against Derek Stingley Jr.
Although it is the product of a small school, Green is a headline that can instantly help the defense of the Titans now that they have the field marshal question.
Now that they have a field marshal, the Browns use their next choice to help Sanders as possible immediately.
Ezeiruaku is a type of intellectual coefficient of high football, and has a size that can make the defensive line of the raiders frankly scary.
Patriots still need help throughout the list despite their free agency expenses. Emmanwori is the best player on the board.
Bears need security help and are probable to see Emmanwori outside the board. Instead, they get another weapon for Ben Johnson’s new offensive in the form of a national champion.
The Saints have a large questioning sign in the quarterback now with the mysterious injury in Derek Carr’s shoulder, but their defense is not becoming younger either. They take the best Avia player, at this point on the draft.
Ersery creates competition in the position of Tackle Izquierdo, which is the biggest question sign on the Chicago line. In Sausage, it becomes a Tackle Swing.
42. New York Jets: Mason taylor, te, lsu
The jets have needed a closed wing for a couple of years, and finally get it with the most physical in this draft. Taylor has been more than solid and reliable through his university career and is all you want in a closed wing.
The 49ers probably wanted a crack in Mason Taylor with the George Kittle contract in question, but instead they continue to be younger to the defensive. They will need it if they plan to pay Brock Purdy.
They did not do it in the first round, but the cowboys finally get them to be executed alongside Ceedee Lamb and divided the attention of opposite defenses.
Fortifying a defense to facilitate things in your field marshal is never a bad idea.
UCLA’s boy stays in Los Angeles and gets to work behind one of the best defensive lines in the League.
Cardinals still need reinforcements in defense, so they do what many thoughts would go in the first round taking a edge corridor.
The value for offensive linens at this time is not there, so it was so surprising to see Miami spend one in the first round. Here, the Dolphins try to compensate for the loss of Jevon Holland.
The Bengals obtained an advantage corridor in the first round as insurance against Trey Hendrickson that departed potentially, but still need a lot of help in defense. Amos is the best corner available.
Mike Macdonald is anxious to take a defensive player after selecting Gray Zabel in the first round (which was an excellent decision after Geno Smith was fired many times as it was last year).
The Broncos chose to transmit a defensive Tackle with their first selection, but do not let Alexander fall too far. Despite coming from a Group of Five program, there is much to like the Toledo product, and there is no better place for him to learn that as part of Denver’s already dominant defense.
Returning to the offensive for Seattle to compensate to lose multiple open receptors this low season.
Bucs prioritized their next generation of open receptors with their first choice, but still need pass help. Swinson is from a SEC program and has a side size like the best edge corridor that remains on the board.
54. Green Bay Packers: Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Packers need insurance against Jaire Alexander wasting time, either due to injuries or otherwise.
Jim Harbaugh did his thing by Jim Jim Harbaugh and Tok a corridor with the first choice of the chargers, but there is work to do on the defensive side of the ball given some of Los Angeles’ exits this low season.
Just give Josh Allen all weapons.
Panthers have done a lot of offensively work and now need to focus their attention on defense to play complementary football.
All the offensive of the Texans backed down due to how bad the offensive line played last year. Houston needs to do something about it.
Another really solid defender goes to the Ravens: What is new?
Of course, the lions took two corners with their first two teams last year, but did you see all those injuries last season?
The commanders let Jonathan Allen walk, and thought they picked up Javon Kinlaw and Deatrich Wise, they could still use some help along the defensive interior.
Skattebo in Buffalo is a problem for so many reasons, both in the field and out of place.
Andy Reid’s offensive is better with a reliable career game. Sampson becomes safe.
The Eagles love the trenches, and have some major players throughout what is known as one of the best offensive lines of the League. Continue adding to him ensures that he stays like this.
