The Chicago Bears are in an ideal place that is directed to the NFL 2025 Draft. Thanks to a burst of movements during the last month and a new established regime, maximum flexibility have been granted: they have no important need.
That will allow General Manager Ryan Poles and chief coach Ben Johnson to take the best player available in each selection and obtain incredible value in the process. They have four selections in the Top 100, including a selection of the 10 best. It is not very important that you see a list with this talent that you have the opportunity to add more at the top of the dress.
So, let’s explore how the bears’s draft could be. Here is a complete simulated seven rounds for Chicago.
For the registration, in this simulated scenario, the Missouri Tackle, Armand Membou, was still on board and thought a lot about taking it. I don’t think there is a great investment in the offensive line, and Johnson probably agrees. However, Warren still be on the board was a minor miracle, and if he really ends up being the style of Brock Bowers, I can’t imagine all the fun things that Johnson could for a weapon like him in this offensive.
Jeanty was out of the board on the first round, going to the Saints of New Orleans at number 9 in the simulation I ran, so the Bears did not give him a chance, anyway. However, getting Hampton with his first selection of the second round is an absolute robbery. It reminds me of me or how Detroit’s lions obtained winged Sam Laporta at the top of the second in 2023 after -nurn Jahmyr Gibbs in the first round, it was only invested. Anyway, Johnson now has two big young weapons to work. Now, all that remains is to expect the offensive line to be really solid enough to block that offensive.
It turns out that two weapons with the first two selections do not mean that the bears do not obtain reinforcements along the line. Zabel comes from FCS competition, but is sandy and physical, which is exactly what this new Bears regime prioritizes. Zabel also has a size at 6 and 312 pounds. Bringing it to a NFL strength and conditioning program, and should also increase its weight quite easily. Zabel’s actions rose in Mobile in the Senior Bowl, where he stood well against the largest school talent. If the Bears want competition at the left Tackle place for Braxton Jones, Zabel will give that and it is an incredible value in pick No. 41.
The bears have been granted flexibility thanks to a very active free agency period, which included preventive exchanges that completely remake the interior of the offensive line. They also focused on the other side of the scrimmage line, signing both Grams Jarrett and Day Odoeyingbo along the defensive line. With all its apparently enclosed entrants, the approach must become depth, and security is a furtive need that Chicago should take seriously. Jaquan Brisker is an excellent security, but he had some problems of scary back on the last season and Brisker’s fall in the depth table is steep. With his last day 2, getting Winston from Penn State can help the Bears to sleep more easily, so if they need to turn with another security, the fall should not be so bad.
Once the teams arrive at day 3, it is about obtaining the best value. I would like to see more investment in the edge of the edge, so Ingram-Dawkins of Georgia can be a great addition to the rotation that now includes Montez Sweat, Odeeyingbo and the fifth round of last year last year Hyan Booker. We will see what the new defensive coordinator Dennis Allen can do with the existing scheme and personnel, but Ingram-Dawkins fits the profile of some that everyone could use. Translation: It is large, standing at 6-5 and 276 pounds.
Chicago has just enclosed the hometown TJ Edwards for a contract extension, but cannot harm help with the depth of the supporter, especially now that Jack Sanborn has left. Utah has constantly had an excellent defense in recent years, so Reid comes with some pedigree, only in the seventh round.
The bears have a rather decent interior defensive line rotation and this choice is only to make sure they continually have that rotation, which is so important in everyone’s defensive scheme. Keeping fresh and robust boys in advance is the most important, and that becomes easier the deeper the rotation of the defensive line.
