The left -handed dodgers of Los Angeles, Blake Snell, will stop throwing for a couple of days after he felt some discomfort when he played Catch’s day.
Snell is in the 15 -day nejee list due to shoulder inflammation. The two -time winner of the Cy Young award signed a five -year contract of $ 182 million in November.
“Blake, while I was playing, he simply felt great,” said Manager Dave Roberts on Wednesday night before a match against Chicago puppies. “So at this time, we are going to play the launch slowly and they probably see it again, we return home.”
Snell, 32, has 1-0 with an effectiveness of 2.00 in two openings this season. It was not clear when the pitcher reported the problem; Roberts said before the 11-10 defeat on Tuesday against the puppies that Snell had played Catch and “went well.”
Roberts said Wednesday that he is not worried at this time.
“Part of the message from us to Blake is that it is later in the season and if there is any kind of discomfort, let’s not try to fight him,” Roberts said. “And so, where we are now on the calendar, not worried at all, and even talking to Blake yesterday, I was not worried.”
After signing Roki Sasaki in January, the Dodgers begged the season with some launch depth. But that depth is being tested.
Tyler Glasnow left Sunday’s victory against the Texas Rangers due to cramps at the bottom of the leg, but the 31 -year -old right is on the way to starting Sunday at home against Pittsburgh.
World Series champions also have help along the way. Clayton Kershaw launched more than three ball innings of a race in an appearance of rehabilitation with Double-A Tulsa on Tuesday. Tony Gonsolin was scheduled to make a triple-a oklahoma City rehabilitation on Wednesday night.
Dodgers vs. Cubs Highlights

Kershaw, 37, returns from low season surgeries on the foot and knee. The three -time winner of the Cy Young prize struck out four and walked one in his second beginning of rehabilitation.
“It was good. It went well,” Roberts said. “Velocity was good. He entered the fourth post. He will start next week, so really positive things.”
Roberts said that Kershaw’s injury is improving, but “it is likely to be something to deal with, and it will not be free of pain.”
The Dodgers played without the Will Smith receiver at their end of the series against the puppies. Smith had a little left doll Soress after making a label on the plate at the sixth entrance of the game on Tuesday night.
Roberts said the team could get some images for Smith when he returns to Los Angeles. The Dodgers are out of Thorsday before receiving Pittsburgh on Friday night in the first game of a series of three games.
Associated Press reports.
