Karl-Anthony Towns scored 31 points, Jalen Brunson had 30 and the New York Knicks remained for a 118-116 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night to take a 2-1 advantage in the First Round series.
OG Anunoby added 22 points for New York. Game 4 is Sunday in Detroit.
The Pistons have lost eight playoff games at a consecutive house since 2008, achieving one of a NBA record established by Philadelphia from 1968 to 1971.
When Detroit won in New York in game 2, the franchise ended a league record, a 15 playoff game that lost the streak to take the advantage of the court at home, but the Knicks snatched him.
Brunson, who won the Award for the NBA Year’s Year on Wednesday, made consecutive trays at the end of the game to give the Knicks a seven -point advantage.
Tim Hardaway Jr. connected in a triple with 5.8 seconds to pull the pistons within three.

New York led 33-27 after a opening quarter with emotional load.
