It is our favorite time of the year, when the NBA has precedents on all sports, the games are exciting and the boys called Jimmy Butler and Jamal Murray transform from mortals to the god of basketball.
It is Time of Playoffs.
The two teams that I think are in a collision course to meet in the NBA finals are not the main seeds in any of the conferences. Rather, I think the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers will be the final teams standing.
Not only that confrontation would be the dream of the NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made, providing a mass television impulse, but would face the two most distorted franchises of the League against one, and the Celtics won 17.
Here is why I think this will happen.
Things joined for the Celtics at the end of the season, with them winning 16 of their last 18 games. They have the second best offensive qualification and the fifth best defensive qualification in the League. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have shown that they win a championship together. And this team is deep. The only wildcard of the Celtics is the persistent problem of Brown’s knee, which left him aside for the last games of the season, although it will apparently be without warning this postseason.
Last year, the Celtics sailed through the playoffs, winning 16 or 19 games. I think their way will be equally winding this time to the finals of the Eastern Conference, where they will probably meet the Cleveland Cavaliers of first level and Reaxly Be tested. But, I see that they fit Donovan Mitchell and Co., using their championship experience to suffocate a team that really has just found their identity this season. Actually, no other team in East is a true threat to Celtics.
Now, for the Lakers.

Luka Doncic took the Dallas Mavericks to the final last season and has some of the most striking playoff statistics in the league, averaging 30.9 points, 9.4 rebounds and eight assists on four apparitions in postseason. Just although Doncic and James only have one leg playing together in February, they have already shown that they have a lot of chemistry. And when bets are higher, I think we are going to see how magnificent two of the best basketball minds in the league can be. And, let’s not forget that Austin Reaves has transformed this season of a naked player into a star. Suddenly, it is a great part of a great and has shown that the Doncic game greatly complements, despite the fact that the detractors wonder if the addition of Doncic makes the reversals redundant. Actually, the opposite has happened, with Reaves, Doncic and James masterfully playing with each other and creating nightmares for defenses.

West is much deeper than the east, therefore, let’s go through the potential path of the Lakers to the finals, which should be more rugged than the Celtics road.
I think that the biggest challenge of the Lakers in the West would be the Golden State Warriors, not the Oklahoma oklahoma thunder. James, Doncic and Reaves vs. Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Drayond Green would be wild, getting the best of the six players.
Just although Oklahoma City has had a season for books, I don’t think they are ready for bright lights and extreme pressure that comes with winning on the biggest stage. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will get its points, but, in the playoffs, the team that has most players playing well victories. And just although the Thunder are deep, it is questionable if the boys who have not named Shan rise to the necessary level for this team to really go far. As for the Nuggets, they have given the Lakers many problems recently, eliminating them from the conference finals in 2023 and the first round of the playoffs last season, but I believe that the addition of Doncic will make things look very diffused this time. Not to mention that Nuggets have no helm after their coach Michael Malone was a recent fire.
Then, Mr. Silver, it is expected to get his TV rating bonanza, and basketball fans obtain a confrontation that will give a new life to one of the best sports rivalries of all time.
