The Cleveland Browns surprised many observers around the NFL when the first two days of the Draft did not give the first two days.
After transmitting it on six opportunities, the Browns any lance finished the largest drama of the draft by taking Sanders with the 144th general selection on Saturday.
“I can’t talk to the market price as he did,” said General Manager Andrew Berry after the Sanders National Team. ” Once it reached the point, it was a fairly strong discount, this made more sense.
“It is a guy that we believe can overcome its draft slot,” Berry added. “I would like it to be more than that … Our expectation is for him to come here and work and compete. Nothing has been promised. Nothing will be Givven.
“I can hesitate to classify it as a ‘box office success’ because it is not necessarily as we think about the transaction, but we are excited to work with him.”
Sanders, who Berry described as a “good and solid perspective in the most importing position,” became the second field marshal written by Cleveland this weekend and 14 since the Browns returned to the League in 1999.
Cleveland was the draft by exchanging the second general place, where Jacksonville Tok Sanders team and winner of the Heisman Travis Hunter trophy. They finished their draft exchanging to grab Sanders, sending fifth and sixth round selections to Seattle.
Just although not many expected the Browns to take a second quartback, Berry was free about Sanders on Friday night. “It’s less where they pick you up and what you do after being chosen,” he said.
Sanders joins a Browns field marshal room that is in flow. The days of Deshaun Watson in Cleveland are numbered, since the entire 2025 season will be lost while recovering from a broken aquile tendon suffered in January. That happened only three months after initially Kured against Cincinnati.
Cleveland this month signed Joe Flacco, who was 4-1 as a starter in 2023 and took the Browns to the playoffs for the third time since his return. They also acquired the former draft selection of the first round of the Steelers, Kenny Pickett, in an exchange with Philadelphia at the beginning of free agency on March 12.
On Friday, they selected Dillon Gabriel de Oregon in the third round.

None of them create the same buzz, positive or negative, such as Sanders.
Just although Flacco has the experience, and is a worship hero among the Browns fans for leaving the couch and taking the team to a postseason post, Berry has said that he would not play a factor in his Draft decisions.
“We firmly believe that it is not about choosing a player who is ready to contribute now, it is about trying to find the player who thinks it will be the best if you have access to that player,” he said. “Quarterbacks mature and grow on their own and our thinking is not in terms immediately, but makes the next long -term bet.”
Flacco said earlier this week that he was going to see the draft and that he had been seen only as a mentor in the field Marshal.
“I have played a lot of football, and I have many different experiences, and there is a certain way that I see it, and there is a certain way that I can talk about the foot game and the readings and things, and I think they naturally arise,” he said. “I think that when you only have a competitive and good field marshal room, do not worry about being a mentor. Simply, son of doing. You compete and have fun and the conversations come and everyone learns from it.”
Sanders, the son of the member of the Hall of Fame Pro Football, Deion Sanders, also has no confidence, saying the duration of the professional day in Colorado “Wherever I go, it will definitely be an improvement of what was before getting there.”

In what is considered a weak class of Mariscal de Campo, Sanders was projected by many as the second best prospect of the position after Cam Ward in Miami (Florida), which went to Tessee with the best selection.
However, during the past month, opinions about Sanders have the entire map, which makes it the most polya polia perspective. The greatest concerns were about the strength of the Sanders arm and that did not go well in the interviews with some teams that lasted the process prior to the draft.
Sanders established Colorado season records last year when the buffaloes made a bowl game for the third time since 2008. He passed for 4,134 yards, 37 TouchDowns and represented 41 total touchdowns and enrushed the Big offensive in the AP All-America team.
In 50 university games in Jackson State and Colorado, Shedeur Sanders launched for 14,347 yards, with 134 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. He completed 70.1% of his passes and ran for 17 more scores.
Libra the strength of the arm, Sanders’ decision -making in the countryside has also analyzed. He took 94 captures in the last two seasons in Colorado, as many as a field marshal in the soccer subdivision.
Coach Kevin Stefanski has said that there will be an open competition between the four training field of the four quartbacks. Although Stefanski has had 11 quartbacks that begin at least one game during his first five seasons in Cleveland, this will be the first time that the starting point is not established in the summer.
