JD Vance shared an emotional tribute to Pope Francis after the death of the 88 -year -old pontiff, which occurred after the two with Easter Sunday.
“I learned about the death of Pope Francis. My heart is with the millions of Christians around the world who loved him,” Vance wrote in X.
“I was happy to see him yesterday, although he was obviously very sick. But I will always remember him for the homily below that he gave in the first days of Covid. It was really enough.

The death of the Pope, after a prolonged battle with double pneumonia, occurs less than a day after having what the Vatican described as a “lyrics” with Vance, a Catholic convert since 2019.
The vice president mainly with the Secretary of State of the Vatican, Cardinal Pietro Parolin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Archbishop Peter Gallagher, potentially the result of the strong condemnation of the Pope of the Deportation Agenda of the Trump administration, which is the migratory dignity.

The Pope has disagreed with the current administration, and only wrote a letter in February to the US bishops who got into the immigration policies of the Trump administration, qualifying it as an “important crisis.”
“The act of deporting people who in many cases have left their own land for reasons of extreme poverty, insecurity, exploitation, persecution or serious deterioration of the environment, damages the dignity of many men and women, and whole families, and places them in a state of particular vulnerability and a defense,” Hey wrote in the letter.
Despite their differences, Vance and Francis exchanged subtleties, and the Holy Father gave him three Easter Easter eggs for their children.
