The US Secretary of the USA, John C. Phelan, announced Tuesday that the correspondent of the Breitbart News Pentagon, Kristina Wong, will serve as its Director of Communications and Main spokesperson for the United States Department of the United States.
“I would like to introduce Kristina Wong, my new director of Communications and Spokesman Chief of the Department of the Navy,” Phelan wrote in a mail In X. “Welcome Abboard!”
Phelan’s announcement occurs after “current and previous department of defense department,” he told CBS News that Wong, who has previously worked on the Washington Times and the HillI was “in the race to be the main spokesman” for Phelan.
Wong first joined Breitbart News in 2017 as the Pentagon reporter and the Department of Defense, after working preventively in the HillAxios reported at that time.
Wong has also served as a treasurer of the Military Association of Reporters and Editors (MRE).
The head of the Breitbart Washington office, Matthew Boyle and Breitbart News international editor, Frances Martel, responded to Phelan’s news and expressed that, while they were “sad” when seeing that Wong left, “they could not be more proud” of her chosen to serve to serve.
