Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino still sound slightly amazed by their success and fervent fans.
The married couple is the brain “Gilmore Girls”, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and the next Amazon series “Étoile”.
Dan, 65, calls his fandom “a little mysterious”, but thinks that the rapid registered brand replica of the duo could have something to do with that.
“I think the humor in him is worth repeating it is fast, there are many references,” is exclusive to the publication at the “etoile” premiere.
He added that humor is the “really strong heart at the center of all these shows”, noting that “Gilmore Girls” had the additional component of having “many mothers and the daughter observes it repeatedly.”
“It is his way of joining and hanging together.”
Amy, 59, also believes that her shows and focus on female characters are another reason for her success.
“There are female characters that come together about things in addition to men,” he explained. “I think he is a child of a small secret that we tend to do all the time and we hardly strive to never write to our audience.
“We feel that the public is much smarter than I think many people will give them credit. They will obtain it, they will realize if you give them something to concentrate.”
Then he added that the lack of presence in the couple’s social networks adds to their appeal.
“There are not many of us out there, so it constitutes a Sort or Garboesco, we are a bit mysterious,” he said with a smile.
Earlier this month, the Toke couple separated into an event of Paley Center in Los Angeles and was stunned when 3,000 people attended.
“We are lucky because television can be a disposable medium at some times, and it is a good watch” The Gilmore Girls “, Mrs. Maisel,” Bunheads “, even thought there were only 18 episodes,” he shares.
The newest show of the couple, “etoile”, such as “Bunheads”, takes place in the context of the ballet world with the dancers and staff of two ballet companions, one in Paris and one in New York, exchanging their most talented stars.
The show is starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and some family faces such as Luke Kirby, who played Lenny Bruce in “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and Yanic Truesdale, who played Michel in “Gilmore Girls.”
Amy explained why they are fascinated by the planet of Pliés and Pirouettes.
“It’s amazing,” he got excited, “because it seems so easy and so ethereal on stage and is so Atlético and Hard.
“They will never really get rich,” the leaf turned on. “It’s about the art form and they are just pure creatures of form. And I admire it a lot.”
“Étoile” falls on April 24.
