Singapore’s geostrategist, Kishore Mahbubani, argues that China has benefited from globalization, but the United States has also done.
Singapore diplomat, Kishore Mahbubani, argues that he is “legitimate” for the president of the United States, Donald Trump, worrying about the driving gap between rich and poor in the United States, but his idea of forcing factory jobs to the United States.
Mahbubani tells the host Steve Clemons that China will be damaged by the current commercial war with the United States, but “the Chinese are prepared to accept short -term pain to obtain long -term profits.”
The disorder in the United States politics is “a gift for China,” says Mahbubani. “I don’t see countries that move away from China.”
