But Curry extended that advantage to 82-75 with a triple with 5 minutes and 11 seconds. Butler and Brandin Podziemski (14 points, eight rebounds, five assists) kept the rockets in the final stages.

The Rockets fired only 39.1 percent and committed 17 ball losses that the Warriors turned into 25 points. Jalen Green and Fred Vanvleet fired a combined 7 of 34 and totaled 17 points for Houston.

The Rockets were energized early behind Sengun, which had eight points and six rebounds in the first quarter. Houston led 19-12 when Tari Eason turned a robbery into a quick overturned with 3:20 minutes, but Curry designed a letter to close that gap.

Curry followed his assistance to Butler with a couple of units that took the Warriors to 21-18 entering the second quarter. Butler then supplied the Warriors its first advantage in 24-23 with a free kick in the 9:16 mark of the second quarter, and Golden State then took advantage of its first two-digit advantage with a 11-0 race crowned by a memory of Curry.
