When Annie Tammearu, also known as Mother Soki, created the song “Rivet Gun” in Humble Apartment in Minneapolis, never waited for the Grammy winning pop star of the Grammy Award, Ellie Gould, take note.
“It’s crazy because my sister and I used to see her musical videos all the time,” said Mother Soki. “I feel very honored that she likes it so much and decided to publish a video. And that means she also understands my vision, which is great.”
The 21 -year -old published the song on social networks less than a month, where she developed a modest fan base as an unpleasant artist, but “Rivet Gun” was different.
“It was the first time I wrote a song where there is as if all the lyrics came as Vomit, as if it were crazy,” he said.
Mother Soki shows her friends and collaborators.
“I brought it to the studio with Jack Pfeffer, Elijah Herchert and Mo Todd. Eljiah rewritten the guitar on my voices and only made the empty space feel so necessary,” he said.

Proud of what they had achieved, she took it out before she finished.
“Let me publish this demonstration of Rivet Gun.” Bad idea, but also a good idea, “he said.
It was shared more than 100,000 times in Tiktok in the first 30 hours, and has grown from there.
It now has 1.5 million transmissions in Spotify, and Mother Soki has just signed an agreement with Mom + Pop, an independent record label whose list includes Alicia Keys and Tom Morello, co -founder of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave.
“Bringing people was the best for me and my art, because some sometimes you have to ask for help, you know. As I cannot do everything for myself,” he said.
A good lesson for music and life.
“It still feels like mine, which is great, but it is also ours,” he said.
Mother Soki is working on a music video for the single and additional songs for an album.
